Although you should locate in your general area SWL and/or amateur radio
club member that has Drake R8 (and the R8 series) experience...
You would be best advised to locate an operators manual and/or service
manual online for that model, as it's still a capable receiver after all
these years...and using one without such guidelines can be frustrating
to most users, be we neophytes or polished pro users.
