Hello all..
i haver modified my pk-88 with an open squelch system (dcd).
the unit i used is the one from paccom (google: paccom)
this is an universal state dcd that can be used in almost every tnc.
ok here are the connections of the dcd unit to the pk-88:
JP1 Paccom open squelch <-> PK-88
1 n/a
2 clock - 74ls393 pin 13
3 cd - am7910 pin 25
4 rd - am7910 pin 26
5 dcd - center pin JP4-CD
6 n/a
7 gnd - am7910 pin 22
8 +5v - am7910 pin 2
pse. note to remove the jumper from JP4 in the pk-88
