I propose to use this thread for further logs on 8816. Too many topics
were opened with this same subject, IMHO.
08816 75225: Russian Naval Aviation (AVMF-RF) prob. IL-38 type aircraft,
QTC to RMX RJC38 QTO 0808 QRD XRFY XRKE QBD 0800 QRE 0930, CW (29APR23
0818)
Aircraft is prob. RF-75525 IL-38N, departed Yeysk Airport at 0808UTC,
bound to Simferopol Dzhankoy Airport ETA 0930UTC, with 8 hours of fuel
onboard.
Yeysk is the base for the 859th Centre for Combat Application and Crew
Training for Naval Aviation and has IL-38Ns (for Maritime Patrol and ASW
tasks) among others. Maybe this a/c is going to make MP-ASW operations
on the Black Sea.
