re: I tested it some time ago but had some issues with it. Not sure what they
were exactly but I disabled it again. Could be with the 1.6 development
version at the time.
You may be pleased to find out that it may have been a problem that I found
and reported, the consequence of the report was a complete re-write
of the DCD code in direwolf. Here's the github issue:

It may have been in precisely when you last tested as the timing seems
about right.
